Saddest Pizza Ever Seen

Reviewed Business:
Tell us about your experience:

I had thier gluten free pizza once before and had a so/so experience. And I have to admit that the crust was better than that at City O City. However, it was extremely tiny, flat, and a downright sad sight to see. Imagine a Totino's frozen pizza, but even more flat. My previous experience had hefty amounts of feta cheese stacked quite high, but this time, mine came with a few discernable nuggets. The topings were meager, but at least this time my meat had flavor. (Salami = like it should, last time's lamb = freezer burn only). The crust was burned to boot adding insult to injury.

Pro: Faster delivery than told over the phone: 35 min versus the predicted 45-60 min.

Summary: Will not order again. A total waste of $18 (plus delivery tip).

Delicious cakes and kosher special orders!

Reviewed Business:
Tell us about your experience:

Alpine Pastries was my sister's first choice for her wedding cake in 2004. Even if it hadn't been, the tasting would have won us over. We enjoyed exquisite wedding and grooms cakes the day of the wedding; then, for the first anniversary, Alpine Pastries offers a small freshly-made cake to the couple as an alternative to freezing a slice of the wedding cake for a year. Photos of their cakes from customers adorn the store and many residents can point out cakes they've ordered or enjoyed at local celebrations.

In addition to their regular selection of cakes, pies, and pastries (my husband swears their Berliners taste just like the ones he enjoyed in Germany as a serviceman), they are the source in Evergreen for challah, hamantaschen, and honey cakes.

No WiFi, No Problem! Good Old Fashioned Coffee Talk

Reviewed Business:
Tell us about your experience:

Maybe it's because I spend most of my time at work on the computer. Maybe it's because moving across the country has left a vast portion of my social life to Facebook, which I check countless times a day.  Maybe it's because I had just spent two hours in another coffee shop, screwing around on the internet wishing I had someone to talk to.  Regardless of the reason, I was genuinely pleased when I walked into Pablo's on 6th and learned that they did not have WiFi. When I started college, WiFi had yet to enter the realm of coffee shops, so I have deeply imprinted within me happy memories of good old fashioned coffee talk. Pablo's totally threw me into a warm & fuzzy flashback!  People were actually having real, legit, people-to-people conversations. They were engaged with one another, communicating in body language as well as words. Definitely no bluetooth-clad cyborgs screaming at the empty seat in front of them.  ;o)  (Though there are plenty of coffee shops out there for that sort of thing. I just support diversity!)

I received friendly service, and the barista, somehow picking up on this being my first time at Pablo's, cheerfully informed me that I got a free refill with my coffee. I found that to be quite sweet, as it's not every day that employees clue you in on free perks.  Too bad that I was in a groggy haze, desparately in need of my coffee. I failed to open my eyes wide enough to see which brew I was drinking. *Darn!*  I guess I'll just describe the esperience: It was simple drip coffee, but SO LOVELY. Great body, appropriate temperature, and brewed correctly without undue bitterness.  I haven't had coffee this solidly good since I was roasting coffee professionally.

...Then of course, I chose a seat near the back of the cafe... and what was right behind me? A ROASTER.  Hell yes. These folks roast in-house... and it shows in the coffee. =)

Great Products, Varying Service Depending On Location

Reviewed Business:

The location at Alameda and Garrison is very friendly and has a large selection of teas, es and coffee. This site is very friendly and helpful. The location in the Belmar shopping center is a basic coffee shop with good coffee, but the service is a little aloof.

Two thumbs up

I have had the pleasure to do business with Anasa Naturals and have purchased products. I had purchased products without really trying them first and I loved the lotion and soap. With my order I received free samples, and I fell in love with the sugar scrub! I have been a faithful buyer of that product ever since. With the free samples I am able to try things I wouldn't normally try and I just love all of the products I've tried, including the bath bombs. If you have any questions they provide great customer service in a timely manner and on a professional level, everything that was promised was provided and in a cute packaging, Anasa Naturals really goes out of their way for the customers.

Disappointing service

Reviewed Business:
Tell us about your experience:

This place has incredibly potential, which is what disappoints me the most. My fiancee, several of my friends and I used to be regulars here. We would come every Saturday for karaoke, and during the week for hockey games, but we got so fed up that we've stopped going all together. The food is great and the activities are fun, but the service is consistently abysmal. There were several occasions that we had to wait ten minutes or more for a server to greet us or take our drink order, and the restaurant was not at all busy. Had it been at all busy, or had it happened only once I could have ignored it, but this was a consistent issue. If you're looking to be completely ignored, then this is the place to be.

Denver''s best toy store

Reviewed Business:
Tell us about your experience:

This is not only Denver's best toy store, but one of the best I've been to in this country. The title of the listing should be "Kazoo and Company" instead of "Kazoo Global LLC" for clarity. Most of the toys (if not all) are made by reputable toymakers in the U.S. and Europe. You fill find no "made in China" toys here. The store sells brands like Playmobil, Usborne, Thomas the Train, iPlay, Toby, Lauri, and other great toys that will outlast your kid's childhood. I enjoy going there as much as my kids do.... the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a great website as well. Have fun!
