doctor prescribing over-the-counter medicine

I had terrible coughs and needed a better medicine than one that I was already taking, which I had purchased at a drug store. The drug I was using was not working very well, and getting a better medicine was my primary reason to visit the clinic located on the 29th and Monroe streets. After the examination, it was nurse, not the doctor who brought me a prescription, and it was listing exactly the same name, same active ingrediant % of what I had been taking. I asked the nurse if it was a mistake, to which she replied, "no, this is a prescription drug. You got an over-the-counter drug, but this is not. It's much stronger" without even looking at the prescription the doctor signed. Still not convinced, I went back to the clinic, asked the nurse the same question, showing the drug I was using which had the exactly the same wording. Nurse insisted it was different, so I gave up and went to Walmart pharmacy. Guess what, the Walmart associate whowas at the drop off counter glanced the prescription, and said, "you don't need a prescription for this." I took my drug out of my bag and asked if she meant that the prescription was same as what I had in my hand, to which the associate said, "yes."

What really bugs me is, the doctor didn't bring me the prescription, and I didn't have a chance to ask the doctor questions about what she prescribed. Also, the nurse was acting as if she had an authority to tell me if it was the right drug or not, and she didn't even bother going to ask the doctor to make sure if it was a right prescription in spite of my efforts to make sure about the drug twice.

Office manager later told me that it was a computer glitch which printed out a wrong name on the prescription, but guess what, the doctor signed the prescription!! What do they mean, the doctor didn't notice it was not the right drug prescribed on the paper and she signed it?!

Also, the doctor is always trying to recommend one particular brand of drug which doesn't have generic formula and seems unwilling to listen or talk about other alternatives. The physician seems always "in a hurry" and any other question which takes only 10 seconds for her to answer is quickly noted in the examination sheet and the office manager later explained, "yes, we may charge more depending on the degree of topic." - meaning, getting a simple answer of 10 seconds to quick "anything other than main reason of the office visit" question would cost us more.

It wasn't this bad before, but I guess it's changing now. I do not recommend visiting this office.

This company employs young punk kids that they allow to drive the company vehicles. I was inch from getting plowed into, I was at a dead stop and the truck was traveling at about 60 MPH. He didn’t even hit his brakes as he nicked my side mirror. I proceed on my way to work and as I came to the last light before by turn I noticed that I was going to be stopping right next to the truck that nearly plowed into me. So I got my cell phone out and took down all the information from the side of the vehicle, as I did this the two punks in the truck started throwing their hands up in the air and shouting “What you gonna do? Call! That’s fine; nothing is going to happen to me! So go ahead and call you f***ing bi**h!” Then the light turned green and I proceed to work, once at work I called the company. I had to leave a message and never received a call back! So I ask you, is this the type of company you want to do business with?

Dream Kitchen Nightmare

Our expensive, "upgrade" kitchen for our new build in the Berkeley area has been nothing but a heartache. They will insist on full payment prior to delivery, but once hung, flaws were much more apparent and our kitchen looked nothing like the quality on their website. Flaws like WARPED door, natural, unstained exposed edges showing through at every seam, a two piece end panel with mismatching colors,smudging and really poor quality edges, unfinished items everywhere (glass doors not hung, trash pullout arriving 2 months later), the supposedly artisan exposed shelving touch in the corner really turned out to be a doorless cabinet that didn't match the rest of the kitchen. It will cost us more than a few thousand to fix and once delivered these seemingly nice guys "don't have time" to deal with the issues, even to finish the work. Would be happy to speak with anyone having issues too or explain my experience if it prevents someone from the same heartache. 720-266-7761

I really love Watercourse foods. The best options, in my opinion, include the bicuits & gravy (with scrambled tofu), the french dip sandwich, and the bbq tofu. They often switch the greens option - it ranges from spinach to kale to chard. I hate kale. But otherwise, the food is almost always perfect, the service is usually great, and the location is so much better than the old one. Yay, watercourse!

I can't say enough how much I appreciate The Digital Frontier. They have done numerous print jobs for MHBA, and every job has been exceptional. From the quality of their finished product to their customer service, they are the best printer I've ever interacted with. They can handle small to very large jobs, including brochures, posters, mailers, banners, signs, business cards, and any other promotional materials you need for your business. They even offer green printing with soy-based inks and post-consumer recycled paper. They have the best prices I've been quoted, and take such good care of their customers. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Worst HOA EVER

This is the most unfriendly HOA I have ever heard of. The first letter I received from them upon buying my house was not to welcome me to the neighborhood and tell he how to start paying the fees but an intent to lean on my house for non-payment of fees. I have never owned a home before so to me this was ridiculous. I had to google them to figure out how to start paying. Then they just do casual drive-by's in a random, unmarked car and take pictures of houses. I am pretty sure this could be considered stalking since there is no company name on teh vehicle. They also cite people for violations that they, themselves are in violation of and expect the homeowner to pay fees (we were in compliance with the first letter) when they do not fully take care of the common areas they are responsible for. I would love to get this homeowner association dissolved as I have heard it called.

I was calling around for bathroom estimates and spoke with Mike the owner. He was condescending and insisted he had spoken with me before. I explained that I had not spoken with someone charging a design fee (although I was happy to pay it) so no it was not me, he continued to insist for whatever reason he had spoken to me. The entire seemed to be aimed to make me feel like I was an idiot for forgetting we had spoken. Ironic because 'Customer is always right' and all this crap about 'Customer Service' is posted on their website. I really liked their site, have a large budget for a double bathroom remodel and am very disappointed that due to the lack of basic customer service demonstrated by the owner we were unable to get past an initial conversation. I can’t vouch for their work but I can say that if you would like to be treated nicely throughout the remodel process go elsewhere.

Mary really knows her dirt.

Mary has been in plantscaping for over 20 years and has an amazing knowledge of native plants. Her work is visible both inside and outside Evergreen homes and businesses, and she gives her time and skills generously to local non-profit organizations. Watching HGTV one weekend morning, I even spotted her on "Inside Dirt"! (It was episode ISD-117, "Decorating with Plants" -- I called my mom to tell her I saw our "Mary Mary" on TV.)
