My experience buying my first house ever from Jay Rudey Inc. has turned out to be one of the worst thing I would have ever thought possible to a new home owner. Jay Rudey is what you would call a "fix and flipper" and he doesn't live up to the fix part. The workmanship was poor at best. He failed to live up to his contractual obligations, the work that was done is quickly falling apart and he even came by the house with a friend to laugh at all the things I told him I was attempting to fix. He has no pride in his work and is clearly in it for the money.

A Business That Should Not Be In Business

This company sold services they never completed to many clients. In an irrational state of paranoia the owner without warning, laid off nearly her entire staff while already behind on a full load of orders. Staff and vendors remain unpaid to the tune of over 6 figures. The avg client who was stiffed on services, each paid $1000 - $12000 for the services not received. The owner misrepresents and flat out lies to clients telling them they will have everything in 24 - 48 hrs repeatedly, week after week, month after month.

In order to stay afloat Platinum7 stopped taking orders to shift to one service "social media management" for which clients pay $2500/mo and there are no deadlines or deliverables. The guarantee for 100 new targeted twitter followers per day is not being delivered on. In short, this company cannot be trusted for their word. It is only a matter of time until federal investigations shut them down.

The only time I witnessed a client receive their overdue order was when they emailed a nasty complaint letter or threatened legal action. The owner's attitude about overdue services is unapologetic at best.

This business should be left in this directory, as it is not as easy to hide from. To date, the company has been "covering up" bad press / complaints online, but this site pulls up.

Platinum7 complaints are heavy & this site already lists disciplinary action from the CO labor board, which corroborates my story. Labor boards in other states will be disciplining them as well, as former employees are learning that they were misclassified as contractors & filing claims.

Attorney agrees to refund of fees, and then refuses to return them

November 8, 2013, Mr. Zimmerman accepted my $7000 advanced payment of fees to be used with a court order. He never appeared in the case, though he represented to an officer of the court he was my attorney. We had a specified hourly fee agreement that specifically laid out his instructions. He never helped in the case, but did manage to ask me, "how fast can you come up with $9000.00" on the phone right before a case deadline. When I asked for my money to fulfill the court order, he terminated the relationship, offered to give me a refund, and has been refusing to live up to this promise ever since. The state supreme court has agreed to investigate him for misconduct, case number 13-7248.

Great local coffee house

I've stopped in here a few times, and love this place. Great coffee and fresh pastries, plus a very comfy atmosphere. There's always a decent crowd, but never a wait to get served. They have a great collection of art displayed (which changes regularly), plus a bulletin board with postings from other local businesses. Highly recommend stopping in at Stella's when you're in the Pearl Street area.

Yummy Pizza Offerings

They've got quite an abundance of cool pizzas which all have rock-music-related names and a creative assemblage of toppings. These include lots of vegetarian and vegan fare and even gluten-free for the wheat averse.

My most recent favorite: Pesto, Spinach, Sun-Dried Tomato & Black Olive on Whole Wheat.

Great music venue to with lots of the hottest local bands!

Terrible Real Estate Company

Our problems with the company began after moving out. We received our security deposit and found we were wrongly charged for multiple things. I called to discuss the issues, and a man answered the phone. Everything I talked about he told me I had to talk to someone else and was extremely rude and unhelpful. I continued calling in order to get ahold of the person, Julie Sullivan, but never received a call back from her. I finally received an email from her saying that she didn't even work there anymore. Since then I have called many times, leaving voicemails for Jim Sullivan, the president, or for the person who took over for Julie. No one ever answers my calls or returns them. Overall, I am very unimpressed with the professionalism of this company. Ignoring past residents is no way to handle business, and I would advice that no one rent from them ever.

The Hornet has been one of my favorite hang outs for a long time. The space is large but cozy, the staff is always attentive and the food is way better than you might expect from a bar. Definitely recommend this spot for large or small groups at happy hour.

Needs to work on customer service!

This company can use some training on customer service (Michael, in particular). A delivery was made to my home which I did not order. Told the driver and he took it back and I thought everything was fine since the driver had told me that there was a "glitch" in their system and it had happend the day before. Now I keep getting harrassed by Michael that I owe them $40 for something that I did not order or keep! If he would have handled this in a manner that was a "win, win" for both of us, I would not be so upset however, he continues to send me sarcastic emails staying that I owe the company for the order. I like to give a company the benefit of the doubt before I say anything negative about them to friends or posting a review. In fact, this is my first negative comment I have posted on anyone but he will not stop. Had he offered to redeliver items that I would use, I would have gladly paid as I could see myself using a service like this but instead, he just said I owe $40 for nothing!!!
All this over $40!!! Seriously Michael! Was that worth the lost customer/business you could have had from me and now the bad review!
Please focus more on customer service and doing the right thing to retain business rather than these petty emails you keep sending me!
