Our Mission!
UrbiCulture Farms is a multi-plot farm committed to sustainably growing affordable, local, and organic food in the City of Denver, providing produce to people of all income levels, and building community.
Why?
There is an awakening that is occurring that we cannot survive in the future if our crops have to travel 1500 miles or more from where they are grown to our plates. Colorado residents are beginning to realize that the only things we do grow in our fields nearby are crops like wheat and corn which are not grown for human consumption. This awakening is transforming and re-creating our knowledge of what we know as local food. It is manifesting in ways like community supported agriculture (CSA), local organic foods, farmers markets, and more. We at UrbiCulture Farms, have decided that as our life work we want to be a part of the local food revolution in a way that will provide fresh vegetables, eggs, fish, and fruit to anyone no matter what their income.UrbiCulture Farms helps decrease our collective carbon footprint by lessening the need for transportation of food, agriculture machinery, as well as not using toxic pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. Additionally we build community, teach people about where their food comes from, give opportunity for low income households to have local and healthy produce, use water for food not lawns, and much more!
How?
We transform yards, vacant lots, city land and church lots into farm spaces that grow food, host chickens and/or beehives and foster spaces for the community to come together and learn about local food.

“Choose Your Own” Produce Our CSA program works differently than most other CSAs. At the beginning of the season, members still pay for a full share or a half share. However, instead of a picking up a pre-packed box of vegetables we allow you to choose what produce to take home from the array of seasonal vegetables that line the tables at our pick up locations. Signs will be displayed that guide you in the selection and quantity of vegetables to choose from. Pre-packed shares will still be an option. Our growing season is approximately 20 weeks long and begins at the end of May. Delivery is available for a fee. Pick Up Locations and Times Salvagetti Bicycle Workshop 1611 Platte Street Denver, CO 80202 Sundays 2-5pm 3944 Julian St. Denver, CO 80211 Thursdays 5-7pm Early Bird Specials!
